Kristin Wilson:
A Florida native from the nation’s oldest city of St. Augustine, Kristin Wilson first came to Costa Rica in 2002 as a Rotary International Ambassador. She learned the Latin American language and culture by living with local families near San José and traveling throughout the country on days off from school and volunteering. Now with multiple years of experience in Costa Rican Real Estate and Development, she has been drawn to the opportunities and friendly people Nicaragua holds. Kristin holds both an M.B.A. and a B.S.B.A. in International Business Management from the University of Central Florida but an even prouder achievement is her ability to open a coconut using creative means.

Before moving to Central America, Kristin worked in public relations, new business development and marketing consulting. Also a former competitive surfer, her writing and travel experiences have been published in surfing magazines throughout the US and Surfline.com.

Barry Oliver:
Barry joined Century 21 Gold Coast Realty as General Manager in 2004. He spent one season as a professional Triathlete in Argentina. He has 7 years experience as a Senior Account Executive for Deloitte & Touche, SAP Software and Siebel Systems. While surfing he fell in love with Central America in 2000 and the next year he moved to Nicaragua and founded his export business. Barry received his B.A. in Mechanical Engineering from Cal Poly State University, SLO where he also graduated Cum Laude with a Masters in Industrial Technology.

Barry supports the local baseball leagues and donates to local education through the A. Jean Brugger Foundation. He enjoys time with his Costa Rican wife Sigrid and daughter Angela.

Stephen Thomas:
Steve, a San Diego native, developed a love of surfing and the outdoors at an early age.   His career as an educator allowed time for adventure travel to his favorite places such as the Baja, the California Sierras, and the mountains of Colorado.  After getting married and having two young children, he and his wife decided they wanted the same outdoor experiences for their kids they had growing up in undeveloped Southern California, so they packed up and moved to Nicaragua.

Steve received his BA in Liberal Arts and California Teaching Credential from California State University, San Marcos (CSUSM).  Although teaching is in his blood and close to his heart, real estate has always been a passion.  Steve’s knowledge of real estate spans over a decade and includes personal investments in California, Colorado and Virginia.  As a real estate investor, he has developed a keen eye for the “next” thing, and Nicaragua fits perfectly in to that category.  His love for adventure and surfing has given him extensive knowledge of Nicaragua’s coastline and rarely traveled roads, and his instinct as an investor is beneficial to his clients.
