Surf
Northern Nicaragua has several outstanding surf spots that are easily accessible, but most of them are yet to be discovered. The water here is always warm, so the “No Wetsuit Required” rule is in effect all year. Swells are consistent, and you never have to compete for a wave.
The
Island
Just a 5 minute panga ride gets you to one of the sweetest set of
point breaks in Nicaragua. Enjoy the view of distant volcanoes as you enjoy
pristine and isolated lefts that peel consistently around the edge of La
Isla. Don’t like getting pummeled? Just paddle back out through the
calm channel.
Booms
The name of this beach break says it all. It’s an all-out, thumping
A frame that is sure to get you pitted.
Najaulapa
This small bay offers 3 different breaks, including both reef and
beach breaks. The easy drops and smooth down the line walls make this
a favorite for beginner to intermediate surfers.
